GUDE’s November 2020 technical brief covers a family of four-, eight- and twelve-output Expert Power Control units. These are managed power distribution products for 19-inch racks, combining individual outlet switching with input metering. The family includes different connector variants; the pictured 8031-4 has eight UK Type G outlets.

Remote switching is available over the network, with a serial interface for control-system integration. Programmable schedules, switching sequences and configurable startup behaviour help operators define a repeatable power routine. Electrical and residual-current measurements provide information about the supply rather than relying only on whether equipment appears to be on.

Two sensor connections extend the system to environmental monitoring. The brief also describes surge protection and secure communication options. These are established technical references, not a new product announcement; availability, firmware and local connector requirements should be confirmed for a current project.
